 The guiding principle behind Sight & Sound is the drive to provide an excellent service from qualified personnel you can trust. Roger Tabberer, who leads the team at Sight & Sound, has over 30 years frontline experience ensuring the practice has developed into the centre of excellence it is today.

Roger first qualified as a Dispensing Optician in 1976 and a Contact Lens Optician in 1984. Throughout his career he has gained vast experience with both independent practices and multiple chains, culminating in the post of Contact Lens Director of a group of 30 practices. Roger acquired his own practice in 1995 and following this he studied for, and qualified as, a hearing aid audiologist.

Roger has developed a full range of services for clients covering both hearing and sight. Roger is still very much involved with patient care and looks after a full register of customers and patients.

Penny Shrub _{- F.B.D.O., R.H.A.D., F.S.H.A.A.}

Roger is assisted by his general manager Mrs Penny Shrubb. Penny has many years experience in running optical practices of varying sizes, and is a fully qualified dispensing optician and hearing aid audiologist. Penny is often one of the first people you will meet and looks after a large number of customers and patients. Her patient care is legendary within Sight & Sound as she will often go the extra mile to ensure a patient is totally satisfied with their care.

I wanted to say how very impressed and grateful we were for your wonderful and efficient service. Not only were you very efficient, but you have been very kind – going to take the hearing aid to Mum in your own time on Saturday. If this is your normal service then it is second to none! Sue also has a wealth of experience dispensing spectacles in various practices before joining Sight & Sound.  She enjoys the interaction with our clients and is very popular with all our regulars.
