Technology

Ultra-miniature digital technology is now used in hearing devices which has dramatically improved not only the way they look but the service that they deliver.

Improved Sound Quality

It can be very difficult for a hearing-impaired person to cope with noisy situations. However the latest technology makes it much easier to have a conversation with lots of different people. A larger bandwidth has improved sound quality and means that sounds can be received in their natural spatial arrangement which makes it much easier to identify who is speaking in a crowd of people.

Connectivity

Watching television and using the telephone can also be problematic if you need the volume higher than other users. There are now accessories available which can wirelessly stream the television to your hearing device so that the volume can stay at a reasonable level for other viewers. This same accessory can connect to a mobile phone, MP3 player, computer or any other Bluetooth compatible device. This means that the sound from these other sources is streamed directly into the hearing device eliminating other background noise. This enables people with even severe hearing loss to use the telephone and watch the television without constraint.
