This service comprises a discusion of your problems, taking a history of your symptoms and visual examination of the internal and external structure of your ears (otoscopy),  We then perform a sound test (audiometry) which is recorded as a chart called an audiogram.

We will analyse any problems you are having with your hearing and provide you with a full explanation of the problem.  We can then offer hearing care advice specific to you and explain how a hearing aid could improve your hearing, should this be necessary.  This can include a hearing aid demonstration.  Liaison with your GP is undertaken if required.

The full hearing assessment is carried out by fully qualified and registered professional hearing aid audiologists and is free of charge.
